Our aim is to protect the villages around Ashford, the green corridors into Ashford and the town of Ashford, from, for instance, too many houses, excessive development, bad design, housing estates without community facilities, inadequate public transport and traffic congestion and long commutes to work.
We are a membership organisation; the more members we have, the stronger we become.

We are active and friendly and in touch with our area Parish Councils. We operate by contact with the Borough Council and the County Council, CPRE (Campaign to Protect Rural England) in Kent and the Weald of Kent Preservation Society, Aldington and Mersham Conservation Trust, the Government Office for the South East, our Member of Parliament and the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

Annual subscription is £6 or £10 per couple. We encourage single life membership at a one-time payment of £60 and joint life membership at £90

Each year members are welcomed to a Spring meeting, with a speaker of note, and are invited to join an Autumn coach tour of sites in the news. All members receive a report twice a year.
